An intellect that sees what is taking shape.

In 1814, Pierre-Simon Laplace imagined an intellect that knew, at a single instant, every force and every position in the universe. For such a mind, nothing would be uncertain: the future, like the past, would lie open before its eyes.

Two centuries later, we know that no intelligence can hold the whole present, let alone the whole future. Information is incomplete, measurement is noisy, and the act of observing a market changes it.

If no intelligence can possess the future, can one learn its way toward it?

Can a system enter the real world, act, receive feedback, and see a little more clearly each time?

Markets are the strictest place to test this. They answer every judgment directly, without sympathy, and they never stop changing. Most of what moves a price is noise. Some of it is structure: a relationship that holds, a pressure that builds, a change that has begun but has not yet been named. The work is to tell the two apart, again and again, faster than the structure changes.

AI for AI

A system that runs the research process itself.

By AI for AI, we do not mean an AI that imitates an investor. We mean a system in which data produces observations, observations become hypotheses, hypotheses meet the market, and the market’s answer becomes new data. Every step reads from and writes to one shared knowledge base. The loop has no final version, and what it earns funds better data, compute, models and people, so each round starts where the last one stopped.
